Drugstore Makeup Starter Kit

Hello everybody!

So today I’m going to be doing a blog-post on makeup. I’m going to be doing a drugstore makeup starter kit. I’m going to try and recommend two products for each category but I might not be able to so sorry but I wanted to recommend two so that it’s sort of a wider variety? So let’s get started
PRIMER:

So primer is optional, but I feel like it just improves the appearance of your makeup and just makes everything last so much longer so I would always start off with a primer.

So I would recommend the Rimmel Stay Matte primer, it is so awesome and best of all it is only £5.99! It does a really good job at keeping everything matte and just prolonging the stay of your makeup (does that make sense?) and yeah it’s just A LOT more affordable then the other one I’m going to mention, but they basically do the same thing.
The other primer I would recommend is the Baby Skin Pore Eraser from Maybelline. I really like the feel of it on my skin and it is defiantly comparable to the Benefit Porefessional! It is a little bit for expensive then the Stay Matte Primer, and has a little less product but I honestly love it so much and would recommend it, its £7.99 but totally worth the pennies.

BB CREAMS/FOUNDATIONS/CONCEALERS:

So they BB cream’s I would recommend is the Maybelline dream fresh BB cream & the Rimmel Matte BB cream. If you’re looking for a BB cream with a little bit of coverage but something that doesn't cover up your face too much the Maybelline BB cream would be amazing! Honestly it has the same amount of product as a foundation and it lasts ages.. erm yeah. The Rimmel one just gives a lot more coverage, but still is subtle and light on the skin and honestly they are amazing and can I also add that they are only about £8.00 each? I know can you say bargain because I can.

The foundations that I’m going to recommend are a little bit pricey but they are amazing if you’re looking for a bit more coverage. The first one I would recommend is the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation, this is AMAZING! It last ages and it’s just really nice on the skin and applies like a dream and it leaves your skin just looking so glowy, but not dewy, and it’s basically awesome and it’s only around the £8.00 mark so defiantly worth it (how many times can I say that? Give me a break). The other foundation I would recommend is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum, it’s not technically a foundation but it gives the same amount of coverage but its doesn't conceal everything so you don’t look like you've been plastered with makeup even though you’re wearing a foundation, it just looks like your skin is evened out and looks fresh and it’s about £12.00 I think but defiantly worth it (oh jheez I’m going to keep on saying it sorry)

The two concealers that I’m going to recommend are the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer and the Maybelline the Eraser Eye concealer. The collection concealer is a bit more thicker, and I personally don’t use it under the eyes because I find it a bit thick and it does crease a bit, but for spots, blemishes and just little imperfections this concealer is awesome and its only £4.19! The Maybelline the Eraser Eye is a little bit more lighter but the application is amazing it’s so easy to apply and gives a good amount of coverage and I much prefer it to the collection one. Although the Maybelline one is pricey, it’s about £7.99 it just does a lot more than the collection one.

POWDERS/BLUSH/HIGHLIGHT/BRONZER:

So the two powders I would recommend are the Rimmel Stay Matte powder and the Collection Pressed Powder. The Stay Matte is amazing it keeps your makeup on ALL day and it makes your makeup matte and it’s everything you would want in a powder and it’s only £4.00! The other one I would recommend is the Collection one, it does the same thing as the Rimmel one but doesn't last quite as long but it’s still amazing and I think it’s about £1.99!

So the blushes that I would recommend are the sleek blushers and the Beauty UK blushers. The sleek blushers are just a lot more pigmented, and they come in cute little packages and they last FORVER seriously you could never use one up even if you wore it every day of your life it’s just never ending I haven’t even hit pan yet and it was one of the first blushes I purchased! And there are a large range of colors to choose from so check them out and they are just £5.00 so yeah they’re just awesome sauce. And the other blusher I would recommend is the Beauty UK blushers just because again these are really comparable to the sleek ones but just a tiny bit cheaper and they are £3.99 so yeah they’re both amazing and I don’t think I can choose a favorite between the two!

So for bronzer I would recommend the Boujois chocolate bronzer it’s really good and it just makes bronzing up your face a lot easier! It’s just so easy to apply and really good if you’re not Kim Kardashian and not the best at bronzing. I unfortunately don’t have another bronzer to recommend but when I do will let you know! The highlighter I would recommend is the MUA highlighter it’s not to pigmented but it’s really good for a good sort of sheen to the cheeks and you could defiantly build it up!

EYESHADOW/EYE PENCILS/ EYELINER:

The eye shadow pallet I would recommend is the Sleek pallets. They are just so pigmented and just creamy and last so long and, you get 12 shadows for £8.00! They are just amazing and they have such a large variety of eye shadows and they are just amazing! And of course I recommend the MUA one’s because they are awesome for half the price, £4.00!

The eye shadow pencils I would recommend is the Maybelline Chromatics eye liners, they are so creamy and easy to apply and they have a WIDE range of colors and they are just so easy to use and they are the only ones that I buy now! So again I don’t have a second sort of recommendation because I just use the Maybelline one’s so much and yeah they are about £4.50 each.

For eyeliner I again only have one recommendation (sorry), and it’s the Collection Fast Stroke eyeliner. It’s really good for people who struggle to do eyeliner it just makes to 100 times easier and doesn't dry out to quickly and its only £2.00 so yep! You’re welcome

LIPSTICKS/LIP LACQUERS:

The lipsticks I would recommend are the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks. They are amazing and they are just so creamy and pigmented and I love them. My favorite shade has got to be the shade 03, it’s just a lovely nude brown peachy color it’s just so pretty. And they are £5.50!

The lip lacquers I would recommend are the Collection Lip creams. They are so creamy and pigmented and they smell like life and marshmallows. It’s just amazing and they are only £3.00! My favourite shade has to be Cotton Candy which is a pretty pink color.

And yeah guys that’s it for today I wanted to do a long blog post today because unfortunately I can’t because my cousin are coming over and I’m just going to be so busy BUT my friend is going to write Hangout’s part 2 for me and hopefully that will make up for missing one day sorry!

LOVE YOU GUYS x
