DIVERGENT REVIEW BOOK+MOVIE

Hello everybody!

Today I have another book review, but also this book has been turned into a movie, so I thought I would do a review for both movie and book!

So of course by the tittle you would have already guessed that I’m going to be doing a review on Divergent! I absolutely love Divergent (both book and movie). I’m going to review the book first because I’m a believer that the books are better than the movies and I always start with the best (personal opinion NO JUDGING plz x).

So Divergent is about a world where the people are divided in to 5 fractions, Erudite (Knowledge), Amity (Kindness), Candor (Honesty), Abnegation (Selflessness) and Dauntless (Fearlessness). Tris finds out that she’s a Divergent, and in this world Divergent’s are threats to the fraction system. When Tris and mysterious Four find out about a plot against Abnegation they are in for a ride (lol).

So the book, where do I start? First of all I loved the characters so much! I really loved the fact that at the beginning of the book Beatrice Prior (Tris) was quite a selfless (of course) and a simple girl but throughout the book Beatrice changes into a smart, strong-willed, direct, sarcastic and funny character. I really liked seeing Beatrice change into another part of herself and I just loved the characters she meets during the story, especially Christina. But of course Four is one of my favorite character in the WHOLE book! At the beginning of the book Four is this mysterious boy who keeps himself to himself, but also no one knows anything about him. Four is such a mysterious character and whilst reading the book you just want to know more and more about him and about his history and sort of his whole life, to be honest. These two characters fall in love, and Four opens up about his past to Tris. I feel like Four is just such a main part in the Divergent trilogy I don’t think I would've read it if he wasn't in it. I felt like when Tris and Four were falling in love, I really liked that it was a slow process, and that it was built with trust which I think is the main reason why everybody loves them. I also loved the fact that before they fell in love they were already sort of friends? But honestly I just loved the story so much and I don’t think there is any fault in this book. Overall I love this book so much, so entertaining and it’s a book which reveals little by little by every chapter you read. I absolutely love this book and recommend it a lot, so worth the read.

Now the movie. I really loved the actor/actress Shailene Woodley (Tris) and Theo James (Four) who I just thought really suited their characters and roles, I loved the way the movie story-line was the same as the book, I know some bits were missing but I just loved the movie so much I didn't even realize! I did actually read the book before I saw the movie, but even then I was ABSOLUTELY hooked and I’m so happy the movie was made (Dramatic I know). The movie did have a few LOL’s but I think the main story was how Tris grew as a person and the sort of adventure that lies ahead of Four and Tris. I also liked the setting of Dauntless and how it was so mysterious and edgy, I really liked the setting of it. Also can I just add how amazing and cool the fighting bits of the movie were, they were honestly the best, and you could see real emotion! I really liked the fighting scene between Tris and Four it was just so intense and I feel like they captured that part really well and I love how that scene ends and Its actually my favorite part of the movie. As for the other characters I loved them as well, to be honest they weren't how I pictured them in my mind but still I loved it and I felt like everyone was committed to their role, which you can defiantly see during the movie. I was actually happy that the movie was a bit longer than usual, because I was so intrigued in the movie I didn't realize that I had been watching it for 2 hours! I actually didn't want the movie to end, but unfortunately it did, I just absolutely loved everything and I might have watched it again but who could blame me? And I would recommend you watch it

Okay guys sorry for the long blog post today but I’m just in love with Divergent and I recommend it SO much so if you haven’t yet watched it, first of all WHY? and second of all, I will leave links below SO that’s it from me today and I hope you enjoyed it and yeah, I’ll write another blog post tomorrow so leave your suggestions below so yeah

How To Survive Valentine's Alone

Hello everybody!

So today I’m going to be doing a blog post about Valentine’s Day. I know I know you’re all probably going to think that I’m going to recommend some Valentine’s Day snack or recommend a makeup look BUT I’m not. Instead I’m going to be telling you things you can do if you’re single or you just don’t care. Either way I hope this is useful to you.

Step 1:
Run a bath. I always find baths soothing and just relaxing in general and I think that it’s important to pamper yourself from time to time, or everyday why not? I always like to use bath soaks but you use whatever you’re comfortable with, so that maybe Lush or Zoella beauty whatever you want!

Step 2:
Once you’re out of the bath, put on an onesie and if you don’t own one then just get into some comfortable clothes. You can then apply a facial, because facials are not only soothing for your skin but very nice a relaxing on your face. The one I would use is the Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed facial because not only does it do good for my skin, but it’s a self-heating one so it just feels really nice on the skin. Then once you got your facial on have a bit of dance why not? I normally dance to Lazy Town with Stephanie but whatever you want.

Step 3:
Make a hot beverage. I normally make tea because I just prefer it much more but obviously you can make hot chocolate if you would prefer. Then make a snack to eat, whatever that may be, I usually have Pot Noodles but again whatever you want

Step 4:
Then you put on a good movie, or a series and watch it. I recommend that you take your facial of at this point because you wouldn’t want the facial to be on your face for more than 10 minutes. I normally watch Divergent even though I’ve seen it 45 billion times I can’t get enough of it, it’s just so awesome and I would just recommend it so much I’m going to be doing a blog post on Divergent so watch out for that sometime soon.

Step 5:
Then do your night routine you know with your night cream and cafaful  (I made up a word yay) And then just get yourself into bed. Now you might not be sleepy at this moment so I would recommend watching some YouTube videos or just going on social media, or what I like to do is read a book. At the minute I’m reading Insurgent and I’m loving it so much cannot wait for the film. I’m trying to read the books before the movies come out but Alliegant is coming out next year and I don’t think I can wait that long to read it #BOOKWORM-PROBLEMS lol but whatever

Step 6:
Turn of the lights and go to sleep. I don’t think I need to talk you through that one you just lie down and close your eyes and dream, dream of whatever you want in my case it’s Four and chocolate so yeah. BUT breathe whilst sleeping I know, it’s possible

And yeah guys that is my Survival guide on how to survive Valentine’s Day alone and it’s okay. Valentine’s Day is the reason why ice-cream, movies and series exist so don’t worry.

I’ll write again soon guys bye x Hope you all have a good Valentine’s Day
